Overview

We are looking to hire a talented Web Application Developer for an immediate start on a range of projects for several bluechip clients.

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in Dublin, Ireland.

This role will initially be filled on a contract basis, with the potential for full-time employment. We are offering competitive rates, a great working environment, and the chance to participate in several large-scale projects using the latest web standards technologies.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Javascript and the ability to customise framework code as required (e.g., jQuery, EXTJs).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with other Software Developers to develop highly functional, scalable, reliable web based applications.
  • Rapidly create user-interfaces using Ajax, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis activities from a software developer perspective.
  • Be skilled at progressing from problem statement and design documents to implementation details, as well as being able to translate high-level and low-level design documents into full fledged web based applications.
  • Identify, recommend, and embrace open-source software development.
  • Complete tasks and projects on time with minimal guidance.

Required Job Related Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Expert in user-interface development, using the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery or similar JavaScript library (but should be comfortable without the support of a JS library), cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with a web programming language and database system such as PHP/MySQL.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong categorisation/data organisation skills.
  • Knowledge of basic data and workflow modeling methodologies.
  • Must have experience and be able to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Well versed in software change control and versioning.
  • Delivery focused: You are focused on shipping the product, and organise your work toward that goal.
